Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information may be collected when someone uses Dallas County Criminal History, how that information is used, and when outside services may receive it. Continued use of the website means acceptance of the practices described here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

When a visitor enters a name, location, or other search detail into a search box on this site, the third-party provider that operates that tool receives and processes the query. Dallas County Criminal History does not maintain its own log of those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If a visitor sends an email or other direct message, that communication may be kept long enough to respond and maintain ordinary business records. It is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal obligation requires disclosure.

Data We Gather Automatically

Standard technical data may be collected when a page loads:

  • IP address assigned to the visitor's device
  • Browser name, browser version, and device type
  • Operating system information
  • Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
  • Referring website, when available
  • Date and time of the visit

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies may be used to understand traffic patterns, improve page performance, and measure which Dallas County, Arkansas record topics visitors use most often. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, though some site features may not behave the same way afterward.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operate, secure, and maintain the website
  • Route search requests to the appropriate partner service
  • Measure which record-reference pages are useful to visitors
  • Diagnose technical errors, abuse, or performance problems
  • Support advertising that may appear on the site

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Dallas County Criminal History does not keep a database of criminal-record information, arrest records, registry profiles, rap sheets, jail entries, or court case files. The site explains where records may be requested from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Dallas County courts, Arkansas State Police, ACIC, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, and related official systems. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.

Third-Party Search Partners

Search tools embedded on this site are provided by outside companies. Information submitted into those tools is handled under the partner's own privacy policy and technical controls. Their retention periods, data uses, fees, and result-matching methods are not controlled by Dallas County Criminal History.

Links to Other Websites

The site links to official Arkansas and Dallas County resources, including sheriff, court, Arkansas State Police, ACIC, Arkansas Department of Corrections, and federal record sites. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination site's privacy policy and security practices apply.

Advertising partners may also use their own tracking technologies across websites. That activity is governed by those partners, not by this privacy policy.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Some information may be available to:

  • Search providers that process queries submitted through partner tools
  • Analytics vendors used to measure traffic and site performance
  • Advertising networks that place or measure ads
  • Government bodies or law enforcement when a valid legal order requires disclosure

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect collected data. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed against every risk, so absolute security cannot be promised.

Users Under 18

This website is intended for adults. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If minor-provided data is identified, it may be deleted.

Your Data Rights

Depending on the visitor's location and the context of the data, Arkansas law may affect privacy and public-record handling. Arkansas public records are governed by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967, Ark. Code Ann. sec. 25-19-101 et seq., and dissemination of Arkansas criminal-history information is addressed in Ark. Code Ann. sec. 12-12-1010. At a minimum, a visitor may ask to:

  • Opt out of certain processing where applicable law provides that right
